As a citizen it is your duty to participate in the legal system. Failure to participate as a juror might not be that big of a deal if you felt that the legal system and judical branch were not essential to being a citizen. However, as a future lawyer who will make your living via said system, failure to participate is not just reprehensible or illegal, but straight up immoral. Shame on you The Skidgel!
I know, I have failed in my duties as a citizen. I was going to make a joke about using my DA connections to make sure that I came through okay, but according to the Model Rules of Professional Conduct, rule 8.4:
It is professional misconduct for a lawyer to state or imply an ability to influence improperly a government agency or official or to achieve results by means that violate the Rules of Professional Conduct or other law.
